Welcome Back to Music Video Monday. We have had a bumpy ride lately, sort of like an off road minivan (more on that later). Still, we have managed to scare up a few videos this time.
We begin with Lights. She manages to keep putting out some great music videos in conjunction with her Skin and Earth Graphic Novel/Album. The latest of these is called We Were Here, and it features her husband Beau as a priest.
Next up we have a somewhat regular, Artifex Pereo. This is the music video for As History Would Have It.
Tooth and Nail Records has a history of discovering and nurturing new talent, who then go on their own and keep producing great Music (Do the names Emery, Icon For Hire and Thousand Foot Krutch ring a bell?). Their newest discovery is called Off Road Minivan, and they will be releasing their debut on February 16. This is Spiral Gaze.
That does it for this edition of Music Video Monday. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Music Video Monday: Speak To Me
Welcome Back to Music Video Monday. We have been on an irregular schedule these days, but we are slowly getting regular. The best way to do these things is one day at a time.
We begin with a Lyric Video from Ashes Remain. They will be kicking off #PlatVnyl9 with the release of Let The Night In on October 27. This is RISE.
You RISE in the Morning, when there is Lights. Val is back with Skin and Earth, and she took the Kevin Max route by combining a Graphic Novel with an Album in a concept album. I have been posting the videos as I find them. This is New Fears. Skin and Earth dropped last Friday. Go get it.
And finally, our favorite goth girl is back. Amy Lee (aka Evanescence) is coming out of retirement once again. While the band will be back for a best of String sessions entitled Synthesis this November, Amy has been busy on her own. The video is Speak To Me, and it is the end title sequence song for the movie Voice From The Stone. Now the Movie was back in April, and it was the end of the movie, but if anyone left the theater while Amy was singing, I just don't want to know you. You just have no music appreciation. Check it out.
That's the end of this edition of Music Video Monday. One step at a time. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Music Video Monday: An Unbreakable Sideshow
Welcome back to Music Video Monday. We have a somewhat spotty schedule here due to the totally shambles #PlatVnyl7. We are going to have a totally revised schedule on that. I am currently posting the nominees on the blog and picking winners at the same time. That should be interesting. #PlatVnyl8 may require helpers.
Our 3 videos this week come from different genres, though some critics would sloppily call this an all rock episode. We begin with one of my favorite Dance artists, Lights. She will be releasing a new album as well as an accompanying graphic novel/comic entitled Skin and Earth (drops September 22). The third single and video from the album is Savage. The girl proves that she can rock with the best of them.
Next up is a newbie. Jennifer McGill got her start with Mickey Mouse but her first full length album Unbreakable is no Mickey Mouse Operation. I love a singer who can beat the music into submission. This is the video for the title cut.
Finally, welcome to the sideshow, as inWhite Collar Sideshow. The Ringleader, Herr Schwein, The Faceless Woman, and Leech have been serving up some great industrial music worthy of a Cult of Jester fan (as I am). I have been a fan for 5 years now. Their third album, Valley of The Skull, will be out next year. This is going to be a long four months. You can keep things under control with this video for Tombstones for Eyes.
That does it for this week. Time to get back to #PlatVnyl7. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Music Video Monday: Giants
Welcome Back to Music Video Monday. It's been a long time, but I am going to get things back on track. And before I go too long into this, Happy Independence Day. This is year 241 of our Liberty as One Nation UNDER GOD.
We begin with We Are Leo (for the Righteous are as bold as a lion). This is Dimensions.
Next Up we have a somewhat older video, but it goes with a recent Album. This is Tauren Wells, formerly of Royal Tailor, but now on his own. From The recently released Hills and Valleys this is Love Is Action.
And Finally, for our last video we go North of The Border. One of The Night Beat's favorite Canadians, Valerie Anne Poxleitner, known musically as LIGHTS. From her upcoming album and graphic novel Skin and Earth this is Giants.
That does it for this edition of Music Video Monday. If you haven't already (my town has had an underwhelming celebration already), enjoy the Fireworks. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Music Video Monday: I Get To Be The One
Welcome back to our regularly scheduled edition of Music Video Monday. We begin with a cuteness overload. The Song isn't new, but the video is. JJ Heller has been one of my favorites for a while, both in the Folk and now the Pop genres. A few years back she put out a Children's Album and my favorite on the album was a song called I Get To Be The One. Well the video is now out and it has been done Home Movie Style. A Lot of Cute Baby Video is in this. Be Warned.
One of the upcoming Inspirational/Modern Worship bands out there is called I Am They. Kind of reminds me of a sermon I heard once ("Who cares what they think. Unless HE is in the middle of They, it doesn't matter what they think". Yeah.). This is a cover of Bethel Music No Longer Slaves.
And finally, before we go we had best turn out the Lights. The Canadian songstress took her Pop/Dance oriented Little Machines album for an acoustic spin, which she dubbed Midnight Machines. She has an awesome voice which made this album Pure Platinum. This is Meteorites.
That does it for this edition of Music Video Monday. We are currently announcing the Platinum Vinyl Award nominees on our Facebook page. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

MVM Special Edition: #PlatVnyl5 VMA-Video of The Year
The end of the #PlatVnyl5 Video awards is upon us. Only one award before the coveted Video Of The Year is handed out. Video by a Female Artist is first. The nominees were: Forever by Kari Jobe; Heartbeat by Beckah Shae; No Better U by V.Rose; Running With The Boys by Lights; and When The Crazy Kicks In by Francesca Battistelli. And the winner was: Running With The Boys
Finally we come to Video Of The Year. We had 7 entries in this category, where we usually try to keep things to five for the videos. The nominees were: Felix Culpa by Kings Kaleidoscope; Forever by Kari Jobe; Heartbeat by Beckah Shae; Heartbeat by Sumerlin; Ready, Aim by Mali Music; Relief by Wolves At The Gate; and When The Crazy Kicks In by Francesca Battistelli. And the #PlatVnyl5 Video of The Year is and was: Forever.
And that concludes the blog announcement of the #PlatVnyl5 Music Video Awards. All that really remains is to update all the awards on the winners page. Keep it locked here, though, because #PlatVnyl6 has turned the final corner, and we are racing toward the close of the eligibility year. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.
