MVM Special Edition: #PlatVnyl4 - Dance/Synthpop Video of The Year

We have reached the fourth of eight Genre based Video Awards. Once we have awarded the Dance/Synthpop Video of The Year, this portion of #Platvnyl4 will be half over. For those who haven't been keeping pace with the awards so far, click on the highlighted genres to see the results for Adult Contemporary, Alternative, and Pop.

The five nominated videos came from all over the dance world, though one might have slipped in from hip hop. You just never know. Anyway, the five nominees are: Battery by +V ROSE ; Gold by +Britt NicoleGOLD ; I Don't Deserve You by +Paul van Dyk feat Plumb ; Solar System Remix by +Har Megiddo feat +Michael Ketterer ; and WHTVR by +Allistair Music .  You can check out the nominated videos and artists at the nomination page for the category.

Har Megiddo was really good, but the video was fairly old. While I really was rooting for Plumb, in the end the Hip Hop crossover won. The #PlatVnyl4 winner for Dance/Synthpop Video of The Year is Battery by V.Rose

MVM Special Edition: Dance-Synthpop Video Nominees

We are approaching the half way point in our announcement of the nominees for the Video Portion of this years Platinum Vinyl Awards. This is the only section I will do in full on the blog. For song, album and the general field I will only hit the high points in blog posts and will refer you all to the announcement page when it is up.

Music Video Monday: Whatever

Welcome back to the regular weekly edition of Music Video Monday, where we play the best Christian Music Videos on the Web. In short, we do what MTV used to when they were cool.

Today we finish up with electronica, and then we have a few more housecleaning posts before moving on to the next genre, which will be rap and hip hop.

We begin with another video from Twenty-One Pilots. This one is called Holding On To You.

V. Rose is next. Between solo albums she is the favorite female vocalist for the rapper Flame. This is Battery.
Allistair is next. The electronic band composed of Zander. Yes, it doesn't get any easier. I guess it's just best to throw your hands in the air and scream WHTVR.

Finally, closing out the genre, we Take You to Har Megiddo (yes, that is the name of Armageddon). This is the Solar System Remix.

Night Beat Rewind: April 2013

Welcome to the April edition of Night Beat Rewind. Before we get to the entries I want to mention that there were three special edition releases by DC Talk released this month. Re-mastered editions of Free at Last (1992), Jesus Freak (1995), and Supernatural (1998). They're not new, so I won't be giving a score. Just get them.
