#PlatVnyl6 The Nominations Begin: Gospel/R&B Video of The Year

We had a full representation in the video awards this year (well, with the exception of Children's Music, but that would just be a veggie tale adventure anyway). We move on to Gospel Music, along with R&B. The nominees for #PlatVnyl6 are: I Luh God by Erica Campbell; Invincible by +armarraehillVEVO (Armar'rae Hill and True Foundation); Wanna Be Happy by +Kirk Franklin ; The Way That You Love Me by +Jonathan McReynolds ; and You Are Worthy  by JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise.

Polar Vortex Polka Redux: The 2015 2nd Quarter - Gospel

Two left to go. I have finally got things under control here at Night Beat HQ. The announcement of the 2nd Quarter of 2015 is almost over. Actually, this is the penultimate post. Gospel had a very good showing as well, but not as well as our final post. Still, eleven entries makes almost two years worth of final material. These genres will require some heavy judging. Let's get to it.

Gospel/R&B

• Crystal Aikin - All I Need
• Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir - Pray
• Erica Campbell - Help 2.0
• Benita Farmer - Mender of Me
• Armar'rae Hill and True Foundation - We are Royalty
• Jason Nelson - Jesus Revealed
• Various - Billboard #1's Gospel Hits
• Various - Risen: Powerful Gospel Resurrection Songs
• Various - WoW Gospel 2015
• Virtue - Testimony Reloaded
• Brian Courtney Wilson - Worth Fighting For

Two perfect albums were in the mix, and they weren't on the Compilations. They were both among the ladies. Erica Campbell and Virtue were both Flawless. Modern Worship is the last and the greatest. They had a whopping nineteen entries this quarter alone. That would be just two shy of three years of finals. They are next. Until then, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Music Video Monday: Grace Upon Grace

Welcome to our Patriots Day edition of Music Video Monday. Here in Massachusetts, the home of The Night Beat (for now) we are giving a belated shout out to the battles of Lexington and Concord which began the American Revolution. I say belated because the day was actually April 19, 1775, so celebrating it on the 21st is a bit crass. We really need to get rid of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.

We mix it up this Monday. We begin with Erica Campbell and Lecrae singing Help.

Next up is a new band I'm becoming quite fond of +kingskaleidoscope . Their song Felix Culpa is on auto repeat here in the office. Rock, Strings, Horns, it's got everything. Check out the video.

And finally, we begin the New Empire. To be a part you must Say it Like You Mean It.

That concludes this edition of Music Video Monday. Tomorrow we will continue with our 2nd Quarter wrap. Until then, I am Awaiting Your Reply.
