Music Video Monday: Accepting All Condiments

Welcome Back to Music Video Monday. Things have been a bit erratic with MVM due to holidays, snow days, and even occasional winter blahs. So we have decided to make this an extra special version, and even lighten things up a bit. We begins with Colton Dixon, who dropped his new single Miracles last Friday. This is the Music Video for it.

Going a bit lighter, we move to Transform (aka Transform DJ's). With Rapper Sean Be, this is Jericho. Let's get the party started.

What The World needs now is more dancing condiments. Dream Records EDM artist Joel Vaughn has recognized this need and decided to fill it. I know, you didn't realize you needed it. But you didn't know you needed an iPhone either until Steve Jobs created one. I guarantee that everyone in this video had a blast. Here is Something New.

Finally, a bonus video. Actually this is a full concert video from one of my favorite musicians. Klayton is a talented Electronic Musician who records as Celldweller, Scandroid, and Circle of Dust, and has previously released albums as Argyle Park and Brainchild. He also runs his own record label. The music video was just released, although the concert is from 2010/11. Enjoy the magic of Celldweller.

That does it for this edition of Music Video Monday. Until next time, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Phoenix Rising: The 2019 Platinum Vinyl Awards 1st Qtr - Electronic

From one tie to another. There are actually three sets of ties this quarter. We had a four way tie with 5 entries and now have a two way tie with 6. We also have a two way tie with 9. That's a lot of horrendous neckware.

Electronic and Industrial make the first of this pair.

Electronic-Industrial

• Celldweller - Remixed Upon A Blackstar
• Celldweller - Remixed Upon A Blackstar Instrumentals
• Crusoe - A Cure For Gravity
• Hammock - Universalis
• Salt of The Sound - Beyond Here
• Soulbreather - Come Along

We have really filled out the category with Folk/Ambient (Soulbreather), Industrial (Celldweller), Trance/Ambient (Salt of The Sound, Hammock) and Other Electronic (Crusoe).  Instrumental is next. Until then, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

Phoenix Rising: The 2019 Platinum Vinyl Awards 1st Qtr - Remix

I know there are those who would dispute that Remix Album is not a genre, but the purpose of the Remix is to make something new out of something else. Since a good remix barely resembles the original it could be considered a new genre.

Remix Album

• Celldweller - Remixed Upon A Blackstar
• Celldweller - Remixed Upon A Blackstar Instrumentals
• Plumb - Crazy About You (Remixes)
• Scandroid - The Darkness
• JSteph - Glory: The Remixes

One big comment, about Scandroid. You may see The Darkness in multiple categories. It is one album, but it includes a section of original songs, remixes of those songs, and instrumental versions of the same songs. We go from one tie to two. Our next section is a two way tie. Electronic - Industrial is next. Until then, I am Awaiting Your Reply.

The end of a year and the start of the next. It's a special time. We are in the swing of things here at Night Beat HQ. I think Youppi got into the spiked eggnog at the Christmas Party. Wearing a lampshade and singing Frere Jacque non stop. Oh well. Here's to the New Year.
