MVM Special Edition: #PlatVnyl7 Electronic-Industrial Video of The Year Nominees

We continue our announcements for the nominees for the genre based video of the year awards in #PlatVnyl7, the current awards year. Up now is Electronic-Industrial Video of The Year, the somewhat harder edge to Dance. There are 5 videos once again: Blankets of Night by Hammock; Bonfires by The Quiet Science; Monster by Colours; Used To by Mutemath; and We're A Lot Like Trees by Paper Lights. Mistletunes: The 2016 1st Quarter - Alternative

We are back at the offices after our long weekend. Actually you received a post on Monday through the miracle of scheduled posts, but we were off Having Fun Doing Research. Up next is Alternative Rock, which had seven entries into the pool this quarter. Let's get it on.

There are a few comments. The Ember Days and Falling Up both scored a perfect 5 this quarter, which didn't really surprise. The shock was thaf Falling Up is Falling Down (they are disbanding for the moment). Low and Behold has Ryan Clark (of Demon Hunter and NYVES) on lead vocals. The man is a machine. Pop Music is next. Mistletunes: The 2016 1st Quarter - Dance

This is the final of the four way tie posts. I think this must be some kind of record (sorry). There have been a few genres in the wrap that have had the same number of entries, but usually it is two. I don't go about it trying to create ties, it just happens that way. Let's get to it.

We are back. Sometimes it is harder to get back into a routine than you expected. I know you have been waiting with baited breath, and here it is. The second and last multiple genre post. We cover three more genres: Electronic-Industrial, Remix, and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. Let's get to it.

Demon Hunter upped the ante with the release of their deluxe edition of Extremist. And Stryper continues to show the young ones how to do Metal. The third perfect album also comes from a group which is making excellence look easy, and that is Sweden's Salt of The Sound. Most of the releases just missed, but a few either didn't impress at all or irritated me quite a bit. Such was the case with TJ Pompeo. One of the White Hip Hop contingent (or should I say Plain White Rapper), he seems to be buying into the Police Officers Are Hunting African Americans to Beat Up and Kill because it amuses them line that the liberals are slandering people with these days.  Fortunately that is only one song, but the rest of the album is only so-so. Yaves and Talkie were "meh", I believe the phrase is.
