We move out of the "Spiritual Arena" into the Rock and Roll area. Now I don't really give much credence to Secular/Sacred boundaries in the CCM Arena, but a lot of people do. Hey, I get some of my best Spirituality from Kicked out of The Kingdom groups like Jennifer Knapp and Evanescence, so there you go.

Night Beat Rewind: June 2015

We have completed three quarters of the #PlatVnyl6 Eligibility Year. Soon we will be rolling out the announcements of the final nominees. But let's not rush things just yet. We still have one quarter to go. But first up we close out the third quarter of 2015 with the June edition of Night Beat Rewind.

Music Video Monday:Between the Raindrops

Welcome to the Columbus Day edition of Music Video Monday. We here at The Night Beat are proud to celebrate Columbus Day, not Fall Day (sounds like a personal injury attorney's wet dream) or any such pablum. If you don't want to celebrate a holiday, that's fine. Take it off the schedule and make it a work day. A snowball has a better chance of surviving you know where than a paid day off has of being dropped.

Now, on to the videos. We begin with Lifehouse, one of those GRAC bands we love here at The Night Beat. From their new release Almeria, this is Between The Raindrops (ft. Natasha Bedingfield).
Next up we have The Digital Age, a new band made up of most of the former members of David Crowder Band. Their latest release Evening:Morning is worship with trance electronica. It's quite an experience. This is Believe.
A new to The Night Beat band is next. Green River Ordinance mixes a bit of everything, Rock, AC, Country, Folk, and does it well. This is Heart of Me.
Finally, though we call this Music Video Monday, this next video qualifies Triple M, as in Music Movie Monday. Jonathan Thulin (Pronounced Too-Lean), the Alternative half of the Thulin Brothers. His brother David does Electronic Dance Music. From The White Room, this is the 10 minute Movie experience, Dead Come To Life.

Music Video Monday: Between the Raindrops

Welcome to the return of Music Video Monday, and the first edition of this regular column for 2013. We shall see how quick we can get up to speed, but at least we have one new video.

Our new video comes from a crossover group by the name of Lifehouse. They released their latest, Almeria, on December 11 of 2012. Their first video for the album is entitled Between the Raindrops and features Natasha Bedingfield.
That pretty much catches us up. I do have a preview of sorts. The electronic group Capital Kings. They release their self-titled debut Tomorrow. This is the Lyric video for I Feel So Alive.


Another Lyric Video Preview. Overcome releases No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets tomorrow, and since this is a Thrash-Metal Band, my usually cool treatment of Lyric Videos is tempered, since it is the only way I will figure out what they're singing. This is Verum.


I think I may have shared this earlier, but I will do so again. Karyn Williams releases her debut Album Only You Tomorrow as well. This is the title video.

Night Beat Rewind: December 2012

We close out the year of 2012 with a whimper, at least as far as The Night Beat is concerned. Hey it could be worse, last year we didn't even have a Rewind. All that was released of any note in December 2011 was Hat's off to the bull by Chevelle. Seven releases passed through the Night Beat Offices this month, so I guess that's an improvement.

Of the seven, one stood above the rest, or as we say here at Night Beat HQ, it was:

Pure Platinum

• Thousand Foot Krutch - Metamorphosiz: The End Remixes, Vol. 1

It may be cheating, but I did think that it was worthy of a Perfect 5 Emerald rating. Anytime Andy Hunter is allowed to take the reins of a project, magic is bound to happen.

Of course, there are always albums that don't make the standard we demand at the Platinum Vinyl Awards. Albums which we say are
